First Announcement

We invite all interested scientists to attend the Fourth Gravitational Wave Data Analysis Workshop, being organized under the auspices of INFN and the Faculty of Science of the University of Rome "La Sapienza". This Announcement contains information about the GWDAW ’99 accomodation, registration and traveling.

GWDAW ’99 is the fourth in a series of meetings devoted to study current problems in data analysis and source calculations relevant for gravitational-wave detectors now operating or under construction. The workshop will be focused are on distinct areas:

detector characterization and data analysis;
data analysis leading to upper limits;
collaborative data analysis: joint analysis of data from several different detector groups.

As in the past the meeting is being organized as a workshop, with a number of short talks, each introducing an outstanding problem in gravitational wave data analysis, followed by extended, moderated discussion among the partecipants.

A second announcement will describe the program in detail. A third announcement, distributed just prior to meeting, will describe the final program.
